SunTel Services tees up events
Great Lakes IT Report
Paid a visit Friday to Rochester Hills-based SunTel Services Inc., which
is starting this week what company officials promise will be a full year
of regular technology events. "Deploying Wireless Networks Successfully" runs
from 8 a.m. to around 11 at the Smart-Detroit offices on the 13th floor of
the Penobscot Building in downtown Detroit. The event will cover design considerations,
the technologies available, and how to solve security issues. SunTel's business
development director, John E. Reeves, said future events will cover voice-over-Internet-Protocol
telephone service and overall IT security. He said the events will continue
to ramp up throughout the year. SunTel opened its downtown Detroit office
in the Penobscot in 2000 and has found plenty of customers there, Reeves
said -- including Ford Field, the Super Bowl host committee, Wayne County
government, and law firms such as Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn L.L.P.
Reeves said SunTel has recently added several engineers and salespeople,
bringing its total work force to about 75. More at www.suntel.com.
